I’m excited to share the new Everlasting Star quilt pattern today! Everlasting Star is the latest Coffee Rings Studio pattern and is fat quarter or half metre friendly.
You can find the Everlasting Star quilt pattern in my pattern shop.
Everlasting Star is great for using your favourite stashed fat quarters. I fell in love with the Alison Glass 2020 Sun Print collection when it was released earlier this year and knew it would be perfect to give this pattern the Moroccan tile vibe I had in mind when I first designed the block.
I used some of my favourite colours and prints from Alison Glass 2020 Sun Print in this quilt:
Everlasting Star is a mix and match fat quarter quilt. Every two blocks uses one fat quarter with a contrast fabric as the centre square of each block but the stars formed by the corners of each block all use the same fabric to secret the secondary star motif.
Everlasting Star includes instructions for a baby size, lap/throw quilt and a twin bed size.
You could make this quilt smaller for a wall hanging or larger for a bigger bed size…just take away or add more blocks! You could even use one block to make a coordinating cushion.
Everlasting Star is a great pattern for ambitious beginner and intermediate quilters because it uses half square and corner square triangles. The repeating block pattern gives you a great chance to practice these two patchwork techniques. Half square triangles especially are a really common unit in patchwork quilt designs so they are a great thing to master!
The Everlasting Star quilt along starts 19th October 2020.
