It’s time for that big January tidy-up and organise kick. I’ve designed this quilted storage bag as a cute way to house some of that clutter…whether it’s toys, craft supplies, baby bits or anything else. With its wide-open top and good size base, this storage bag not only looks great but also stores a lot and is easy for children to use and tidy their own toys. This one is full of Lego (of course!).
The half square triangle panel is a great way to show off a couple of your favourite prints or raid the scrap bin for a mixed-print, scrappy look.
You can quilt this storage bag any way you want to…the denser the quilting the more structured the bag will become. I’ve used diagonal straight lines on the base and most of the body using a walking foot, with the lines ½” apart. I then added some fun free motion quilting detail into the half square triangle panels.
